AFL Western District released its penultimate player cap list on Thursday with several clubs’ applications knocked back.
It declined to name the clubs.
Clubs have until February 14 to seek adjustments to their tallies.
Koroit has 37 points to use under the current set-up – three less than each of its nine rivals.
It put in an unsuccessful reassessment notice to AFL Western District.
The Saints were docked three points in November following their sustained period of success.
Koroit president Steve Hoy called for clarity then, stating the rules were “open to interpretation”.
Hoy said the Saints were still waiting for clarification “in the interest of transparacy and educating the clubs further about this policy”.
“We requested for a copy of documentation to show how the decision is arrived at, essentially, ‘what was the criteria and how did you assess and arrive at the decision to deduct three points?’,” he said.
“That was denied, so we’ve been refused access to any working document to show us.”
Hoy said the Saints’ playing group had changed significantly since November, prompting it to ask AFL Western District to reassess its player cap total.
“I suppose from our point-of-view, a lot of our guys are going off to play at a higher level which is fantastic so we asked the question and we probably will do again (before the deadline,” he said.
