Timothy Troy Eales, 40, of Glenelg Highway, refused to appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Monday and did not apply for bail.
He was remanded in custody by magistrate Franz Holzer until February 27.
Mr Eales had other charged adjourned in December and again in Hamilton court last week until a contested hearing in April.
He now faces six new charges including harassing a witness.
Lawyer Jack Rabl said his client faced serving a term of imprisonment.
“He’s in a heightened state of distress. Imprisonment is clearly in the frame,” he said.
It’s expected that Mr Eales will be medically assessed while in prison on remand.
Earlier: A Hamilton district man is is custody charged with six offences including harassing a witness and breaching bail.
Warrnambool police Sergeant Steve Parkinson said the man aged in his 40s was arrested on Sunday in Hamilton, interviewed, charged and remanded in custody.
He will appear in the Warranmbool Magistrates Court on Monday for a bail/remand hearing.
