That’s exactly what organisers of this year’s annual Lake Pertobe Vehicle Display Day are hoping.
The restored convertible will join more than 120 cars and stationary vehicles at the city’s main playground for the Warrnambool and District Historic Vehicle Club event on Sunday.
The gold-coin entry event will run from 10am to 4pm.
Club president Ian Chislett said he was confident the event would cater to car-lovers of all ages.
“Each year we have a theme for the event to keep it interesting,” he said.
“This year’s theme is American beauties.
“There’ll be cars like Cadillacs, Corvettes, Chevrolettes and Mustangs, some that even featured in American films in the 50s, 60s and 70s.
“We’re also hoping to exhibit an original A-Model Ford and a farm vehicle built from an A-Model Ford.”
Mr Chislett said the event was a charity fundraiser.
“The day will also be used as a charity fundraiser with proceeds going directly to Foodshare and Moyne Health Services.”
