The 26-year-old can now add a National time trial title and a green and gold jersey to her resume after securing gold in the individual time trial at the Road National Championships in Buninyong on Tuesday.
In her second outing with her new world tour team, Mitchelton-Scott, Brown was the fastest across the 29.5-kilometre course by over 90 seconds.
She finished in a time of 42 minutes and 35.01 seconds to edge out teammate Gracie Elvin (44:08.63) and Specialized Women's Racing’s Kate Perry (44:19.44).
The victory means Brown’s first season of pro-cycling time trials in Europe will be in the green and gold jersey reserved for a national champion.
“It’s such a relief...to do everything right,” Brown told The Ballarat Courier.
“It’s all about executing on the day. It’s really awesome to have the national jersey.”
