Five people scored a hole in one in the past three days, including Warrnambool’s 11-year-old Chelsea O’Leary on the junior hole, giving her bragging rights at home.
Chelsea said she was excited to have a chance to win a bike in the junior contest.
She is also happy that she now has bragging rights over her dad Gavin and grandfather Brian, both keen golfers.
“Neither of them has got a hole in one,” she said.
“Mum kept saying she was really proud of me.”
Golfing mates Rhys Tillack and Matt O’Dowd, from Colac, both scored a hole in one on Monday morning.
“Matt got the first one,” Mr Tillack said.
“He still had about 10 balls left in his bucket, so he let me have the rest. I got the fifth or sixth ball into the hole.
“It’s a great little set up that they have. The green is really good this year, playing every Saturday you know what a good green looks like.”
Matt O’Dowd, who also scored a hole in one in 2018, said his father had been trying to qualify for the final for about 15 years and get a shot at winning a car on Australia Day.
“Mum and dad spend a week in Warrnambool every year, ” Mr O’Dowd said. “Dad hits a bucket of balls each day.”
