The Warrnambool Pipes and Drums band will march on Sackville Street from 10am and lead musicians and dancers to Fiddlers Green for a day of highland dancing and music.
Moyneyana Festival chairman Reg Harry said the annual event had been well attended in previous years.
“The idea of Celtic Day is to highlight the Celtic history in the area,” he said.
Mr Harry said it was also a good promotion opportunity for the Koroit Irish Festival and Port Fairy Folk Festival which will be on later in the year.
He said a new addition to this year’s event was Celtic music trio TriGuthan which will play from 2pm.
There will also be the chance to hear from The Likely Celts and to be wowed by Scottish and Irish dancing.
Mr Harry said the 71st Moyneyana Festival had been a success so far.
“Everything at the festival has been well attended,” he said.
Also on the Moyneyana Festival calendar are summertime yoga sessions on Saturday and Sunday morning from 10am to 11.30am.
Musicians Andrea Weel and Nancie Schipper will perform at Fiddlers Green on Sunday afternoon.
While Port Fairy hosts Celtic Day, students will continue to learn Celtic traditions at the Lake School in Koroit during the weekend.
