Chorus lines up for her third start for Wilde in a maiden plate over 1200 metres at the big pre-Christmas race meeting.
“We’ve only had Chorus in the stable for a few months,” the Warrnambool based trainer said.
“A stable client purchased her after she ran in New South Wales. We’re still learning about her. I was very happy with her second placing at Ararat last time on the back of a run at Moonee Valley.
“She should acquit herself very well. Chorus has drawn ideally I would think she should be in the box seat from that barrier. It would be great if we could win a maiden with her as it would enhance her breeding prospects.”
The first of seven races at Colac is scheduled to start at 1.16pm
Meanwhile, the Wilde stable has accepted with promising filly Covert Miss and Mischa at Flemington on Saturday.
Covert Miss has won her last two starts at Dunkeld and Terang while Mischa ran fourth at her last outing at Moonee Valley on the back of wins at Moonee Valley and Stawell.
Darren Weir’s Warrnambool satellite stable has numerous runners at Flemington, including More Bricks, Superhard and Savaheat.
The undefeated Dubious lines up in a two-year-old race for Ciaron Maher at Eagle Farm.
Maher, who trains in partnership with David Eustace, also has Encanto running at Flemington.
