It is Murray’s first championship after being runner-up a number of times, and a well-deserved win.
Murray and Hilary Hamilton had a great final, with both players playing beautiful bowls.
At 24-all, the excitement was abounding. Murray drew the closest bowl to win and get a great big hug from husband Jim.
Seekamp has had stellar couple of years, winning the state novice bowler last year and two club championships in a row.
Being so young, compared to most of the club’s members, it would be envisaged that he could go on to become Port Fairy’s first state singles champion.
Sue Hamilton won the 100 up championship in a very good game against Lyn Harris, with both players putting on some very good bowls.
Congratulations to all three winners.
This year marked the first time that three championships have been played on the one day.
With barbecue lunch adding to the atmosphere, there were plenty of spectators to encourage and enjoy the great bowling by both the winners and runners-up, Stephen Lenehan, Hilary Hamilton and Lyn Harris.
