The Mailors Flat captain top-scored with 78 in the Jets’ Grassmere Cricket Association win over Wangoom.
“It was good to get some runs under my belt,” he said.
“I’ve struggled the last couple of weeks and today I got to get my shots away.
“It was a slow start because we needed 30-odd runs to win when I went out so I needed to play a sensible role and after that I was able to score a bit more quickly.”
Wangoom made 131 in its first innings with Mailors Flat producing 9-202 in reply.
The Roosters then scored 5-225 in a gallant second innings dig with Boyle praising his opponents for their determination.
