More than 220 motorcycle riders took to the streets to spread Christmas joy and collect presents for needy families on Saturday.
The Warrnambool Toy Run left Rafferty’s and onto Port Fairy, Koroit, Mailors Flat, Grassmere, Bushfield and Woodford, finishing at Lake Pertobe with a barbecue.
A Camperdown rider, aged in his 50s, who fell off his bike at Dennington, and was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm, failed to mar the event.
Organiser Trevor Warnecke said they were overwhelmed with the community response, filling a Salvation Army van with donated toys to be distributed for Christmas. “They were really rapt. It was a really good turnout,” Mr Warnecke said.
