But it was another area of their games that stood out the most in Vic Country’s first victory of the under 19 National Championships in Adelaide on Tuesday.
Couch, 18, and Jackson, 17, each took a catch and collected a run-out in Country’s efforts to restrict Northern Territory to 210.
Couch, who opened the bowling finished with 0-30, collecting one maiden in his five overs.
Jackson had similar luck when opening the batting, departing for zero in the first over of Country’s successful run chase.
The pair are back in action on for their state on Wednesday against Queensland, who lost to New South Wales Metro by 189 runs on Tuesday.
