The Warrnambool school will feature in both the girls’ and boys’ finals at Greenvale on Friday after strong performances at the regional finals in Donald.
Students Xavier Gercovich and Marnie Beks believe the teams can better their third-place finishes of 12 months ago.
Xavier, 12, said it was a challenge his teammates would embrace.
“We have a great coach (Mark Gercovich) who helps us and trains us most weeks,” he said.
“Most of the boys’ team is just awesome and we have no real standouts, they’re just all really good.
“I am looking forward to the opportunity to play against some good teams.
“We came equal third last year in the boys so we’re hoping to go a bit better this year but it was still a good (effort) last year.”
Marnie, 12, said “team work and fun” were the priorities for her team.
“A lot of the girls (play well) but I would say Lila (Wilkinson is a standout), she’s really good,” she said.
“She bowls and bats really well.”
The finals day starts at 10am Friday with winners expected to be crowned by 2pm.
