The Magpies have welcomed Timboon Demons’ Andrew Hargreaves and Bayley Thompson to the club.
Former Magpie Liam Darcy has also returned to Leura Oval.
Camperdown co-coach Neville Swayn said they would be handy additions as the Magpies strive to better their runner-up finish next season.
He is confident Hargreaves, who has played for Camperdown in the past, and Thompson, who’s booted 67 goals in the past two seasons, can make the step up to the Hampden league.
“Bayley’s a goal-kicking half-forward winger and Andrew we’ve recruited as an onballer,” non-playing mentor Swayn, who will coach alongside Jack Williams, said.
“Andrew’s had a really good year, he got runner-up in the Warrnambool and District league best and fairest.
“He’s got super fit. It will be really interesting to see how they go.
“We’ll get a good indiction in our practice matches as to how they’re going to go at the next level.”
Darcy – the older brother of Fremantle ruckman Sean – will play alongside Thompson in the Magpies’ attack.
“’Darce’ had an injury-interuppted season a couple of years ago where he broke his ankle pretty badly,” Swayn said.
“He was in Melbourne last year. He’s a big bloke, a mobile centre half-forward.”
