A Very Liebig Christmas is a family-friendly street festival that aims to support local business as part of the City Centre Renewal project.
The event will run from 5pm to 11.30pm and features street stalls with Christmas gifts, craft activities and of course the chance to meet Santa in White Christmas Alley.
Commonwealth Bank’s Adele Griffin is part of the Liebig Street Leadership Group which organised the event and said the group was thrilled their vision was coming to life.
“We’re really really excited,” she said.
“That street now looks amazing.”
Owner of Style 105 – a ladies fashion boutique shop – Debbie Arnott is also part of the group and is looking forward to a big celebration.
“It feels really fantastic,” she said.
Mrs Arnott said the group has encouraged businesses to stay open until 8pm on Friday night.
Popular children’s entertainment group The Mik Maks will also perform at the festival.
