The 26-year-old, who recently signed with Australian World Tour team Mitchelton-SCOTT, secured her first National Road Series overall winners jersey in the Tour of Tasmania over the weekend.
Brown was delighted to finish in the green and gold leaders jersey after the completion of seven tours around Australia.
“I’m pretty chuffed with the result,” she said. “This is my last NRS season, so it’s really cool to finish it off on top of the leaderboard.
“It wasn’t really a goal (to go for the leaders jersey) starting off but I ended up winning the first tour and after that it was a goal by default to retain the jersey.”
Brown will now shift her focus to a new challenge, the world tour.
“There is quite a few unknowns going into an extra level. It will be a game of survival for me,” she said.
