The 14-year-old pulls on the Nestles colours twice a week and more when the opportunity arises.
In his first year at the Factory, having previously played at East Warrnambool-YCW, Clark plays under 17s on Tuesday evenings and under 15s on Fridays.
He also fills in for the Nestles’ division three team when needed.
On Friday night, Clark had a visit to the batting crease he will long remember.
Clark opened the innings and went on to make 122, his highest career score.
It was the most significant contribution to his team’s score of 277, a winning total against Brierly-Christ Church White.
Clark said he was happy with his form.
“My favourite shot is the drive and I was able to hit a few nice ones,” he said.
“I enjoy playing as much cricket as I can.”
Nestles division one players Jacob Hetherington and Caleb Bidmade coach the under 15s team.
Hetherington said Clark had a bright future.
“He is a good young player, he works pretty hard,” Hetherington said.
“The really good thing about his innings was he was patience and spent time building it, that’s a good sign for a young player.”
I enjoy playing as much cricket as I can.
