The 19-year-old leg-spinner had a world cup debut to remember after taking two wickets in one over to finish with figures of 2-18 from her three overs at Guyana.
Wareham, a former Western Waves cricketer from the south-west, claimed the scalps of Pakistan duo Nida Dar and Aliya Riaz as she starred on the big stage.
Both of the young spinner’s wickets, a stumping and a caught behind, were made possible due to impressive glove work by wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy.
Wareham finished with the second best figures for Australia after being just outshadowed by opening bowler Megan Schutt who claimed 2-13.
Australia won the match after making 5-165 and restricting Pakistan to 8-113.
The Aussies will now have a one-day rest in the Caribbean before it goes head-to-head with Ireland on Monday morning at 7am (AEDT).
