The 15-year-old was selected as a bottom-age player for the Geelong Cougars’ 19 and under team in the Victorian Netball League.
"My friend Tara (Elliott) who also tried out with me she suggested that I go up and trial with her and at first I wasn't sure,” she said,
“But then I went up and did it and I made the team.
"I've tried up multiple times up in Melbourne, but not for VNL.
“The pace was definitely a lot faster than what I am used to and the body-on-body contact was a lot stronger.
"But I think I held my own and rose to the intensity and I love that. So I am very proud to have made the team."
The talented Port Fairy junior is now gearing up to start pre-season with her new club which begins next month.
This will see her travel to Geelong and back twice a week, before having to travel to Melbourne for games as of March next year.
"Throughout the season I just want to keep improving my netball and improving my attacking game because that is where I want to be playing,” she said.
"Mel Savage (coach) has said they picked me in the team as a wing attack and centre player.”
"I think I held my own and rose to the intensity and I love that."
