Other round one games included Nirranda versus West Warrnambool and Woodford against Port Fairy.
The competition has grown from six teams in 2017-18 to seven this season.
Koroit is missing from last season with Port Fairy and Russells Creek coming into the competition.
Matches on Wednesday night were played in the Twenty20 format.
Nirranda was premiers last season, defeating Woodford in the grand final.
The under 14s girls competition will begin next Wednesday. Teams taking part include Allansford, Port Fairy, Panmure, Russells Creek, Woodford, Nestles, East Warrnambool-YCW and West Warrnambool.
