Bourke has announced he is returning to the Power for the 2019 season, where he will play with a number of cousins.
Bourke played his junior football at the Power and nine senior games in 2011, a short but sweet experience that included the Warrnambool and District league grand final win over Old Collegians
Bourke, then just 16, won the VCFL medal for best on ground.
He went on to be rookie-listed by Geelong, spending a year with the Cats’ VFL team.
He joined Leopold in the Geelong Football league in 2015, playing in a premiership with that club in 2016.
The 23-year-old said he was looking forward to his return to the Power.
“I love the club and I’m excited about coming back,” Bourke said.
“It will be great playing footy again with family and friends from back home.
“I’ve got cousins who are at different stages of their footy careers, some starting off, some moving towards the end.
“The club has a lot of really good young players coming through so I’m looking forward to working with them and helping with their development.”
Kolora-Noorat bowed out in the preliminary final this season after winning the premiership in 2017.
Bourke played across half back for Leopold this season and Kolora-Noorat coach Ben Walsh said he planned to make the most of his star recruit’s versatility.
“He’s obviously a very talented player, a great size and a brilliant athlete,” Walsh said.
“He uses the ball so well so we will be able to use him in a few ways.
“It’s great to have Nick committed for next year, he is genuinely excited to be coming and we are just rapt to have him.
“He loves the club and he just wants to do whatever he can to play his part and help us be successful.
“He is keen to learn and develop his leadership and coaching skills.”
