The Mortlake export added another honour to her growing resume on Thursday, taking two wickets in her international one-day debut.
Wareham, 18, finished with 2-22 in the Aussies’ five-wicket win over Pakistan in Malaysia.
The spinner claimed the scalp of Pakistani middle order bat Javeria Khan for 21.
She then sent opener Nahida Khan packing for 17.
Australian teammate Megan Schutt praised Wareham and fellow first-gamer Sophie Molineux.
"It was beautiful,” she said.
“They’re two people who genuinely deserved (their debuts). In the trial match the other day they showed what they could do and they did well today, they don’t show any nerves at all.”
The ODI debut capped off a busy period for the former Mortlake and Port Fairy cricketer.
Wareham is travelling around Asia with the Australian team for the ODI series as it prepares for the ICC women’s twenty20 world cup in the West Indies in November.
