Portland SES unit controller Bernie Stiles said members returned from a job about 6pm on Wednesday to find two windows at the Glenelg Street unit had been smashed.
She said members had spent less than an hour removing a fallen tree from Portland's Heath Road.
"When we got back we noticed that someone had kicked in the bottom two panels of the front entrance windows," Ms Stiles said.
"As volunteers we work hard for our community and it is frustrating to know that somebody can do this and feel that they can get away with it."
Ms Stiles said the damage would cost about $400 to repair.
"It's very disappointing," she said.
"We put a call out on Facebook and I do note that the support we have seen from the local community has been great."
Anyone with information should call Portland police 5522 1500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
