Despite the Bombers’ quest to win their first flag ending in heartbreak, the side made their Mad Monday celebrations a winner dressing up as premiership statues from a range of sports.
Coach Nadine McNamara, still a little hoarse from the end of season fun, said the idea was tossed around before the finals and became a reality in the aftermath of Saturday’s game.
“We’re pretty happy with it, it came up quite well,” she laughed.
“Netball is a big part of our lives but it’s all about the friendship. We’ve got a really great club culture.
“I think it just shows we’ve got a sense of humour and we’re happy to take the mickey out of ourselves.
“We’re still covered in paint though, we spray painted each other. We have our presentation night on Thursday so we’ve got to get it off before then.”
