Despite finishing third on the ladder, Old Collegians defeated Russells Creek 29-21.
Scores were tied through most of the game with coach Tamara Bull urging her players to “fight to the end”.
As the sun shone and a light breeze hit the court Warriors wing attack Sarah Van Kempen hit full stride, taking home the best on court medal.
“It’s always a really physical game against Creek,” she said.
“Basically because they’re a young side and we’re a little bit more experienced I’ll say.
“I put full credit to my goal shooter Liz, she’s very easy to pass to so I think she deserves this as well.”
Bull said the win took the girls to a hat-trick of titles.
“For some of these girls its third time lucky, for some its back-to-back.
“It took all 12 girls to get here today.”
