
SOMEONE from the south-west has gone to a lot of effort to make a comment on Australia’s refugee policies with this cage hanging from a tree on the Timboon-Nullawarre Road.
But their effort takes on a new significance after all of the shenanigans in Canberra after the last few days.
Mr Dutton, who lost a leadership challenge to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on Tuesday morning, has resigned his post as Home Affairs Minister but failed to rule out another challenge to the unpopular Mr Turnbull.
It might then be said Mr Dutton has constructed a gaol of his own making as a result, but, as they say, a week is a long time in politics and only time will tell if he can break free again.
