More than 80 students from years seven to twelve will form the cast of singers, dancers and band members producing four shows in a family-friendly event.
Based on a true story, the college musical has been adapted by directors Megan Davies, Rose Pritchard and Jean Christie to appeal to all-ages.
“Everyone remembers the Kevin Bacon version,” Ms Davies said. “But the stage version is very different. There’s a lot more to it and I’m sure there’ll be something for everyone.”
Ms Davies said many of the cast were new to stage performing.
“Half of the year seven to nines have never sung in front of anyone before but they’ve got on stage and they’ve shone.”
‘Footloose the Musical’ runs from August 16 to 18.
