The Warrnambool-based mentor will lead the Bloods again in 2019, eager to help them become a force.

Arundell said teenage players, such as May Suhan, Maddi Chesshire, Grace Wareham, Alice Tanner and Lizzie Cook, had shown promise in her first season in charge and would only get better.

“It has been a tough year on the court but having said that there’s been so many positives,” she said of the bottom-placed Bloods.

“There’s potential at the club; there are fantastic juniors there.

“They’re experienced juniors for their age and it’s a matter of nurturing them and bringing them up the ranks and looking at possibly adding to the line up as well.”

Mother-of-four Arundell, who has spent time at Warrnambool and District league club Old Collegians, said the commute to Terang for training each week was a welcome part of her hectic schedule.

She combines her coaching duties with work at Provincial Home Living and administration for the family business, Warrnambool Cutting Edge Gardening Service.

Maintaining an Air BnB on the Great Ocean Road is also part of Arundell’s schedule.

“I am ridiculously busy with work and different things so it gives me time to clear my mind and switch into netball mode,” she said of the regular drives.
