The annual Young Designers Wool Award showcased works from across Victoria and South Australia.
In all, 38 entries were modelled in front of a large crowd at Hamilton Showgrounds.
The winning entry came from Danielle Herbert, a fourth year fashion design student from RMIT in Brunswick.
Awards convener Jackie O’Brien said as well as RMIT Brunswick, entries were received from Gordon Institute of TAFE Geelong and Flinders University in Adelaide.
“As it always is, the standard of work entered was exceptionally high,” Ms O’Brien said.
“The winning entry was gorgeous.”
Lovers of fashion will be catered for at Sheepvention, which runs today and Tuesday, with fashion parades to be held both days at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Sheepvention 2018 marks a major milestone, with this the 40th staging of the event.
