Paul Pekin went to hospital after he was concussed in the second quarter. Koroit’s Tim McIntyre and Cobden’s Jack Hammond were sent off during the game.
Cobden president Chris Walsh said the Bombers’ committee would meet on Monday to discuss its options.
Bombers coach Levi Dare said the Saints “outplayed us in every aspect” with teenager Ryleigh McVilly and Thomas Spokes, who kicked three of their four goals, the Bombers’ only shining lights.
“They haven’t beaten us like that for a long time, we usually have great battles,” he said. “We didn’t have an answer for them.”
Koroit coach Chris McLaren, who lost midfielder Taylor Mulraney to a split eyelid, said the Saints’ split between defence and offence was impressive.
Ruckman Jeremy Hausler, who spent more time forward, took a screamer to go with his four goals.
League leading goal kicker Jarrod Korewha kicked six goals and McIntyre four in the rout.
“We had an even spread of goal-kickers which was pleasing,” McLaren said.
“Jezza went forward and Daniel Roache spent a lot more time in the ruck.
“Jez is a hard match up. He took a screamer in the goal square at one stage.
“He jumped on big Jarrod’s head and had a good ride on him, so I don’t think Jarrod was overly impressed with it.
“For a big fella, it certainly was a beauty.”
