Warrnambool police Sergeant James van Engelen said the 41-year-old woman was intercepted by Hamilton police officers while driving on Ballarat Road Road at 9.30pm Thursday.
"A search of the vehicle located 50 grams of crystal methylamphetamine packaged in separate zip lock bags," he said.
"There was also a small amount in her handbag as well as drug paraphernalia."
Sergeant van Engelen said said the driver also tested positive to ice use in a drug driver oral test but she refused to do an evidentiary test.
The woman has been charged with trafficking ice and refusing a drug test.
She will appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Friday for a bail/remand hearing.
