Western Region Netball under 15s coach Meagan Forth is feverish about her 12-player squad for the state netball titles in Shepparton in October.

“I’m very excited about the squad. They are a fantastic bunch of talented girls that I couldn’t be more pleased to coach,” the experienced mentor said.
“We have a bit of height and experience at different grades of netball in the side. A few of the girls can also play in a few different positions, which gives me a bit of versatility.
“I’m interested to see what types of combinations I can put together.”
Forth’s under 15s side and the under 17s squad, coached by Raewyn Poumako and Chris van Kempen, feature plenty of talent from the Hampden, South West District and Warrnambool and District leagues.
Under 15: Ava Bishop, Jess Perry, Matilda Fitzgerald (Warrnambool), Ally Mellblom, Maili Baillie, Olivia Marris (South Warrnambool), Ava Pierce, Zahli Adams (Port Fairy), Jodyn Templeton (Coleraine), Tarni Porter (North Warrnambool), Emma Stacey (Allansford) and Hollie Phillips (Hamilton).
Under 17: Tara Elliott, Laura Ritchie, Chelsea Quinn, Ashlea Fergusson (North Warrnambool), Isabella Rea, Meg Kelson (South Warrnambool), Molly McKinnon (Koroit), Katie Zeunert (Portland), Molly Henrick (Camperdown), Jessica Thwaites (Warrnambool) and Hannah Anderson (Cobden).
Player applications for the Mel Starr-led open side have been extended to Monday, July 23 and final selections will be conducted on Friday, July 27 at 7pm at the Warrnambool Netball Stadium.
