“When the wet weather comes in, sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves and dig in,” Threlfall said.
“It’s good to get some game time in wet conditions, you never know what the weather could be in a big game or a final later in the season.”
The Blues will go into their round 10 clash against Allansford without forward Jason Lee, who is unavailable.
Threlfall said Lee’s replacement, Aaron Searle, had made a positive impact in his debut season with Nirranda.
“Aaron’s an experienced player who understands our set-ups so he will slip back in without a worry,” he said.
“We are lucky at the moment, we have pretty much a full list to chose from.
“That certainly creates confidence around the club.”
The Blues make the trip to Allansford with seven victories from their eight outings this season.
