The Twelve Apostles hot springs and spa would be located on a 78-hectare site on Booringa Road, Princetown.
Plans are taking shape for the resort, with the Environment Protection Authority receiving a works approval application to create on-site waste water treatment plants.
The company aims to have spas and 30 rooms of accommodation up and running by 2020, and 150 rooms by 2026.
The EPA said the resort would independently treat two separate streams of wastewater, one from toilets/spa laundry etc (peak flow rate of 72 kilolitres per day / 27 megalitres annually) and the other backwash water (from spas) at 40 kL per day.
The EPA is assessing whether there would be any impacts on local groundwater or on soil, as it is proposed that treated wastewater will be used for irrigation and not taken offsite.
The EPA will also be attending the drop in information centre, which will be held at the Port Campbell Art Space, Lord Street, on Thursday, June 14 from 2pm-5pm.
