She drew strength from the times she felt defeated and when thinking of those who’ve lost their lives she felt a boost of energy to run faster for herself and for them too.
Molly completed the Great Ocean Road half marathon on Sunday in two hours 24 minutes and within her 2.30 goal. She said it was an incredible run. Her training paid off and despite a head wind and wet conditions she ran the whole way.
Molly raised more than $2700, well above the $1000 target she set, and created awareness of local mental health initiative Let’s Talk. She said the amount of calls, messages and donations she received was heart warming and she was grateful and overwhelmed by the amount of support and those who opened up about their mental health challenges. “I really can’t thank you enough!”.
