Youth Affairs Council Victoria and PROJECT ROCKIT, Australia’s youth-driven movement against bullying, came to Warrnambool to deliver the digital anti-bullying session.
Students from across the region participated in the interactive forum, which highlighted real-life examples and strategies to deal with cyber bullying using credible and empowering tips.
PROJECT ROCKIT co-founder and co-CEO Rosie Thomas said they were passionate about ensuring all young people had access to effective and inspiring anti-bullying and cyber safety education and technology regardless of where they lived.
YACVic rural development co-ordinator Karen Walsh said they were “hugely important” messages.
“These presenters have really got students imagination going about how to prevent and respond to bullying that goes on in the cyber world,” Ms Walsh said.
