The funds are part of a four-year pledge from Icon Group to support South West Regional Cancer Centre’s survivorship program.
The program allows cancer patients to have access to an individual program nurse, care plan and online portal for support following treatment.
Icon Group chief executive officer Mark Middleton visited the centre (SWRCC) on Monday to deliver the first of four $50,000 donations to staff and Peter’s Project representatives.
“This donation is part of our absolute commitment to the Warrnambool cancer community,” he said. “It remains our core mission to deliver the best care possible for patients, as close to home as possible.”
Peter’s Project founder Vickie Jellie said the donation showed ongoing support for the region.
“It’s great for a new group to show such a commitment to the region,” she said.

“It shows support for our patients in a brand new way that is individual and specialised.
