Sargeant wants the teenage footballer to push for TAC Cup games with Greater Western Victoria Rebels.
Wareham will play for the Bloods against Cobden in their crucial Hampden league clash on Saturday.
“He’s only a bottom-ager at the Rebels and he played three senior games for us last year as an under 16s player,” Sargeant said.
“Our aim is to get him starting to play Rebels every week – that’s where we want him to be. We’re a stepping stone for him.”
Wareham will slot into a wing-forward line rotation for Terang Mortlake, giving the winless outfit additional run.
“He’s got a huge tank on him,” Sargeant said.
“He gets up and down the ground a fair bit.”
Sargeant said the Bloods were confident of turning their fortunes with “a bad quarter letting us down” in the opening two rounds.
