Terang Mortlake moved to include Territorian Jess Buderick as an emergency, while Warrnambool stuck by its round one outfit after falling to Portland by one point last week.
Bloods mentor Michael Sargeant and Warrnambool coach Matt O’Brien said poor weather meant it was tough to read into their round one losses.

“The conditions last week weren’t really helpful for good footy. We've backed in our guys again because we thought we put out a good side,” Sargeant said.
“We’ll let them play on a dry deck to see what they can do. We’re not throwing the baby out of the bathwater at this stage.”
Sargeant said his men identified several areas of improvement at training mid-week.
"I probably didn’t coach as well as I could have and we could defend a little better. We could particularly be better with our ball carrying. Our movement was pretty ordinary.”
O’Brien hoped a dry Reid Oval would suit his outfit.
“Maybe we’re a little more suited to more space and a quicker game,” O’Brien said.
