A city council spokesman said most of the paving work for stage two, which covers the section of Liebig Street from Koroit Street to Timor Street, was complete and a road base had been laid in preparation for asphalting.
New street trees, which were a Chanticleer ornamental pear tree, were planted last week. They are the same variety of tree used in the northern and central blocks of Liebig Street.
Construction of a new centre island and the installation of permanent pavement at the Liebig/Koroit Street roundabout is underway. On-street furniture and signage will start to be installed this week.
Access to the Cramond and Dickson carpark from Timor Street will be closed for about a week from April 18 to allow an early start to work on a new drainage pit and stormwater drain on Timor Street.
