One lucky koala who escaped the weekend inferno was lucky enough to find a hero firefighter on Ayresford Road, near Terang, to help quench his thirst.
Stumpy Carlin caught the exchange between koala and firefighters on his phone and posted it to Facebook.
From within the firetruck, a firefighter can be seen giving the koala a drink of water in an area where trees are strewn across the road.

However, it is not the first video of its kind.
Everyone remembers when Sam the Koala burst into prominence during the Black Saturday bushfires in 2007.
Video and photographs of her being rescued by a firefighter went viral on the internet and quickly spread throughout the world.
The video comes as firefighters finally get the upper hand over a number of fires in the area.
The Terang fire has now been contained, although livestock fatalities are expected to top 10,000.
