Top side Koroit hosts third-placed Warrnambool Gold and City Gold will be trying to hold onto fourth spot when they travel to play fifth placed Terang Green.
Dennington Red will also be looking for a strong finish to their season when playing City Red away.
The top four in second division look set with Port Fairy Blue a mathematical chance of taking 4th spot but highly improbable.
In third division, fifth place Port Fairy Gold take on the top side Koroit Green in a must win game if they are any chance of taking fourth from Warrnambool Green who are seven points ahead and playing sixth place Lawn Tennis Gold.
The top four is all set in fourth division although there could be positional movement within the four depending on winners and losers as 2nd to 4th spots are close on points.
Tuesday pennant are now into their preliminary finals with all matches being played at Port Fairy on Tuesday.
The Region Triples were completed on Sunday with Robyn Thomasse, Leah McCabe and Beryl Povey from Far Western winning the Women’s final 17 to 13 from Kay Maddern, Julie Drosser and Kate Lloyd of Western.
The men’s champions came from Corangamite, Wil Colihole, Trevor Nelson and Geoff Nelson over coming Far Western trio Lindsay Gruar, Jim Scott and John Buchanan 17 shots to 16 on an extra end.
The region Champions of Champions will be played this Sunday at Warrnambool Bowls Club. In club land City Memorial ladies have crowned their triples champions.
Winners were Barbara Bibby (correct spelling this year), Julie Dosser and Thelma Smith defeating Pauline Burleigh, Heather Jensen and Kate Lloyd.
Dennington are holding their annual ‘Tom Clarkson’ Mixed Fours Tournament this Sunday with what I’m lead to believe it is a full field of teams so it should be a great day of bowls. Breakfast kicks off at 8:15am with play commencing at 9:30am.
