Warrnambool police say the man has been charged and bailed on various drug charges after he was arrested at 2.30am on Saturday following a tip-off from the public. He was found to be in possession of a small amount of the hallucinogenic drug LSD.

Police subsequently searched the man’s home and found more illegal substances and drug paraphenalia, including the so-called party drug MDMA. He will will appear in court at a later date.

A police spokesman said “almost anything is available” and the majority of drugs are “poisons” given “no-one knows what goes in them”.
