However, he was still happy to give up a day off to exhibit the truck at Saturday’s Koroit Truck Show.
Mr Blackley said he enjoyed the camaraderie with other truck drivers at the show and was not too worried about winning any show prizes.
He was one of more than 2000 people who flocked to Koroit’s Victoria Park for the annual truck show that draws trucks and their drivers from as far away as Queensland and Western Australia.
More than 200 trucks and other vehicles were exhibited in the show that also entertained the big crowd with aerial performances by the All4FMX freestyle motocross team.
The team sped quad bikes, mini bikes and even bicycles up a ramp to grab air time before plummeting into a massive air bag.
Other show events were a tug of war between truck drivers, a Harley motorcycle burnout and the renowned 50-metre “truckie sprint”.
Youngsters competed in a sprint race and were catered for with a range of children’s entertainment.
