Actor Craig McLachlan has spoken publicly for the first time since a joint Fairfax Media and ABC investigation published a number of allegations from women complaining of his sexual misconduct and harassment.
McLachlan has promised to fight to clear his name, promising that "the truth will come out".
In the interview with News Corp's The Sunday Telegraph, McLachlan said his reputation had been "annihilated".
McLachlan said his sense of humour could be described as "lewd".
"Does being cheeky and naughty equate with being a bully? No, it does not," he told the Telegraph.
"By God I will fight this," he said.
"And the truth, the truth will come out."
McLachlan said he found it "difficult to adequately ??articulate the horror".
"I pride myself on building a wonderful, inclusive, safe work environment, where even the little fellow who has to carry the sandbags for the camera department, I make him feel like it's his show."
McLachlan said he feels "anger, hurt, bewilderment, but it keeps coming back to shock. How can this be?
"That 30-plus years of a great reputation and history can be not just brought into doubt, but annihilated. It's extraordinary, and it's wrong."
McLachlan's partner, Vanessa Scammell, was also interviewed by News Corp.
"The havoc that has been wreaked ??? has been devastating," she said.
"I have been shocked, horrified and bewildered at the character assassination."
The major investigation by Fairfax Media and the ABC published earlier in January revealed that a number of female cast members of the 2014 Rocky Horror Show have alleged they were abused, harassed or indecently assaulted by McLachlan, 52.
Days later McLachlan was stood down from the current production of TheRocky Horror Show and the production company issued an apology over the allegations.
Two cast members have made formal complaints to Victoria Police, alleging that a number of actresses in the show were subjected to McLachlan allegedly touching their genitals, groping their breasts, exposing himself and pressing his penis against them.
