Bianca Gavin, 39, of Hopetoun Road, appeared in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court for a contest mention hearing.
She initially wanted to plead not guilty to assaulting the son but eventually changed her mind, was placed on another CCO with a condition she do 120 hours of community work.
She was placed on her last CCO just two months before the latest incident.
Magistrate Ron Saines said it clear that Gavin had gone to the victims’ home to sort out some grievance, that she threw the can of alcohol, assaulted the mother and there was evidence of minor injuries suffered by the victims.
Gavin has a long list of prior court appearances and the magistrate said she had an appalling history and had been repeatedly imprisoned in the past.
He warned if she was found guilty of assaulting the son after a contested hearing, Gavin could again expect to be jailed.
It was after that indication that Gavin changed her plea to guilty.
Police said that at 5.20pm on Saturday, August 20 a woman and her son were at their home when Gavin came up their driveway and threw a can of Woodstock bourbon at the mother, hitting her on the shoulder.
Gavin was not known to the woman or her son.
Gavin then grabbed the woman by the neck and dragged her into the driveway.
The son pushed Gavin off his mother and told her to leave his mother alone.
Gavin is then alleged to have punched the son to the face several times.
She told the mother and son she had four brothers she could call on to fix them up and that she would come back and burn down their home with them and their dogs in it.
Police took photos of injuries to the woman's neck and the son's mouth.
Gavin said initially she was prepared to plead guilty to making threats and recklessly causing injury to the mother, but claimed she had wrestled with the son but denied punching him.
