Woodford spinner Alex Jennings – who has signed with Northcote – and Nirranda’s Brody Couch (Geelong) are set to face off in the competition’s thirds division on Saturday.
Jennings is expected to play the majority of the season with Northcote, but could suit up with Woodford if his schedule allows.
He will mix his training commitments between Woodford and Northcote.
Jennings will spend more time at the Melbourne-based club after his year 11 exams at Emmanuel College are complete.
Former Warrnambool umpire Nick Frampton is also set to officiate the clash at Geelong’s famous Kardinia Park oval.
Fellow Woodford talent Tommy Jackson – who is fresh off a stint with Victoria Country’s under 17 national championship side – will also debut for Geelong’s seconds.
Jackson will face off against former Port Fairy spinner Joe Medew-Ewen in the seconds match, who is playing for Northcote.
