The 2017 Bloods are hoping they can change that and make it fifth-time lucky when they take on North Warrnambool Eagles on Saturday.
“They are really excited,” Bloods coach Kaitlyn Arnott said. “They play such a team game. Their defensive pressure is probably their strength.”
The 2017 Bloods have strengthened their ranks with a healthy mix of players.
“We’ve had three that played last year, so it’s a fairly new group. Some of the girls came across from Mortlake Sharks, and we’ve still got three bottom-aged players.”
While the Bloods are chasing their maiden 13 and under flag, the Eagles have won five over the years.
