Detective Sergeant Jason von Tunk, of the Portland police crime investigation unit, said detectives and uniform officers executed a search warrant at a Kentbruck Road address at 8.55am on Wednesday.
Officers found six unsecured firearms at the address, including two loaded guns.
The firearms included a shotgun, three rifles, an air rifle and an orange gun.
They also found 10 kilograms of cannabis.
The drugs, with an estimated street value of more than $200,000, were dried and in vacuum sealed packages.
A Heywood man, 56, was arrested, interviewed, charged and appeared before a bail justice at the Portland police station on Wednesday night.
The man was bailed to appear in the Portland Magistrates Court on October 31.
He has been charged with firearm and drug-related offences, including trafficking cannabis.
The bail justice decided to release the man on bail after hearing he had no prior convictions.
Police investigations which led to the raid were sparked after a shooting incident near the Heywood Consolidated School on Friday, September 8.
In that incident a car was shot and a bullet lodged in the vehicle's radiator.
Detective Sergeant von Tunk said police were delighted with the results of the raid.
"It's very pleasing removing that amount of cannabis from circulation," he said.
