MOTHER AND DAUGHTER: Portland Arts Centre, until September 15. Mother and daughter Joy Schultz and Maree Gabriel are exhibiting together for the first time.

BODIES OF CONFLICT: WAG, until September 17. South-west artist Kate Gane explores her cancer battle through this art installation.

RECENT PAINTINGS - SUSAN COOK: F Project, Warrnambool, until September 17. Warrnambool artist Susan Cook rediscovers her love of painting after 30 years.

DANGEROUS DEEDS: WAG, until September 24. An accessible arts installation presenting ‘snapshots’ from the Victorian disability movement.

TOPIAS 3 - GEORGIE MATTINGLEY: Warrnambool Base Hospital, until September 30. An exhibition by Georgie Mattingley capturing moments of beauty, sterility, labour and ritual that occur within the hospital environment.

CITY OF WARRNAMBOOL ART SHOW: Warrnambool Primary School, October 6-8. One of the region’s largest annual competitive art exhibitions.


COMMUNITY WORKSHOP: Lighthouse Theatre, W’bool, September 13, 5.30pm. Regional Arts Victoria hosts this workshop aimed at people who run events, festivals and community groups.

RASHOMON: Mozart Hall, W’bool, September 13, 7.30pm. F Project Cinema screens Akira Kurosawa’s 1950 classic.

OLIVER: Lighthouse Theatre, September 14-15, 12.30pm. Primary Performers stage this classic musical for two shows only.

FRANTZ: Reardon Theatre, September 15, 7.30pm. Port Fairy Film Society screens this award-winning drama about the personal aftermath of WWI.
