Koroit resident Alistair Cozens is married to Kellie and the couple has three children, Abbie 15, Sam, 13, and Maya, 7. For the past 17 years Alistair has ran his own kitchen and joinery business in the main street of Koroit called AKC Kitchens. Alistair is originally from Hawkesdale and is an active volunteer with the CFA. He has been involved with the Willatook and Koroit brigades for a total of 30 years. He is the junior trainer for the Koroit Football Netball Club and is also involved with the Koroit Cricket Club. Alistair answers this week’s Q&A.

What do you most love about living in Koroit? I love the spuds.
Describe Koroit in five words? Very community and sporting minded.
Why do you volunteer your time with various clubs and groups? I like being part of the community. I’ve been involved in community groups for a long time.
If you could live anywhere where would you choose? Where the sun shines.
What is your favourite holiday destination? Central Australia.
What are you reading at the moment? These questions.
If you had a million dollars what would you do with it? I’d go on an around-the-world holiday.
What career did you want to pursue when you were a teenager? I wanted to be a shearer.
What would your ideal Sunday involve? A big feed of eggs and bacon, and talking to my cattle.
What is something people might not know about you? That I talk to cattle.
Do you sleep talk or sleep walk? I’ve got no idea.
If you could choose to go back 100 years or forward 100 years what would you do and why? I’d go forward 100 years so I can fly to Mars and back.
What recipe are you renowned for cooking for family or friends? Vegetable soup.
If you had all the time in the world to pursue and perfect any hobby what would it be? Fishing.
When and where are you your most happiest? When I’m camping and catching yabbies.
What is the best piece of advice you've been given? I’m not good at taking advice.
Do you have a motto you live by? I don’t have time for a motto.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? Still screwing boxes.
